Muscat - Al Nahda Resort & Spa is strengthening its management team with some key new appointments across the 109 room resort. Krishna Suri has joined as resort manager, bringing with him extensive hospitality experience from roles in India, Tanzania and East Africa and positions with the Taj Group of Hotels, IHG and Radisson. 

From a food and beverage background, Suri also offers new insights into the development of food concepts for the resort. The resort’s new executive chef, Sadek Miya, hails from Bangladesh and brings over 19 years of knowledge in the industry with previous positions held in Egypt, India and Oman, including Oman Air’s in-flight kitchen operation. Miya offers skills in a variety of international cuisines and among his personal favourites are seafood dishes.

Avnish Kumar joins as the resort’s executive housekeeper. Kumar has over 11 years of experience in housekeeping with international hotel groups, including Kempinski and Oberoi and comes most recently from Lux Maldives. Joining the sales and marketing team as director of sales is Dinesh Dahiya who comes directly from his role as general manager of TUI India.

Dahiya brings over 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry with previous roles in Accor and Starwood. Ryszard Majewski, general manager, said, “We are delighted to announce these key new appointments to our team and welcome our new colleagues who all bring a wealth of experience.”
